So we formed a book club at work.

Last month we read The Kite Runner which is an excellent (and sad) book.

This month we are reading The Alchemist.

Next month's book is One Hundred Years of Solitude.

I hardly found time to read for pleasure while in college (for 8 long years). I still find myself reading technical journals and/or reports during my "free time" these days, but the book club gives me an excuse to read one book per month for pleasure.

I love love love The Alchemist. It's one of the few books I have here with me. I think I'll read it along with you guys. Have you read it before?

No. But I have to read it this week because our book club meeting is on Monday.

I really, really liked The Kite Runner.

It's a quick read, but rewarding. I read it while I was in Egypt back in January. It was fun to be wandering around Egypt (I was there for 3 weeks), while the character in the book was doing the same...I'd love to hear your thoughts...
